Re: Seeing

Something unusual is happening. A friend has been in a coma and a lot of people were praying for him. He came out of his coma talking about Jesus saying what a great guy he is. Today when we visited him he was talking about “Where’s Wally”. I said that I had a book that I would bring him. However, tonight I googled “Where’s Wally” and I came to this page – finding God. I am a christian and I feel that Jesus has really been taking care of him.

Hi – thanks for asking. I’d love to have stood in the election again this time round, but I’m the chairman of the directors of Alive Christian Media Ltd, the charitable holding company for Alive 107.3fm; a community radio station. Ofcom are very strict with the issue of impartiality of broadcast media during election time, so standing as a candidate is in conflict with that impartiality.

I’ve been following the SCP and CPA initiatives or a while and noticed that while you stood in 2007 you are not standing now. Any particular reason? Have you changed your mind about the value of standing in elections? How did you get invovled in the first place?

Just an afterthought on this : how easy is it to see what we want to see in others ? How easy we find it to see the surface and not the heart of someone – we see through “presumption” spectacles sometimes rather than “loving” spectacles!! – maybe fodder for another blog!!
